Avoid the potential pitfalls of government contract changes.
All US federal government contracts contain a standard clause, commonly referred to as the changes clause. The changes clause in government contracts provides the government's contracting officer the unilateral right to make certain changes, provided such changes are within the general scope of the contract, including adding, removing, accelerating, or otherwise altering what the contractor will provide under the contract. To balance this unilateral right to make changes, the clause also requires that the government make an equitable adjustment to the contract price or schedule to the extent either are impacted by the change. For contractors facing a government change under a changes clause, there are a number of essential issues that should be promptly considered. This ondemand webinar will explore these key topics.
