Learn about New York’s ethical rules on loyalty, confidentiality, AI, social media, and best practices for electronic communications.
This presentation will provide a general introduction to ethical issues relating to loyalty, confidentiality, privilege and client identification, and to a lawyer’s responsibility to stay current regarding any technology and other tools used to run one’s practice. Next will follow a discussion of current ethical and professional issues surrounding artificial intelligence and social media, including a review of relevant ethics opinions and best practices, with a focus on New York authority and guidance.
