This presentation introduces the essential elements and explains how they interact to form a system of self-reinforcing loops, or virtuous circles, that lead to enormous benefits for the entire manufacturing enterprise. These benefits include improved productivity, quality, and delivery. Benefits also include less absenteeism and turnover. In many cases, the improvement is order-of-magnitude. This presentation addresses strategic issues for management and provides insight for others in the organization. It can be an important first step on the lean journey.
