Ensure you are up to date on the amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
The most recent amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure were a milestone in pleading and discovery practice. It changed the landscape of how judges and litigators use the rules to secure a just, speedy, and inexpensive determination of every proceeding (See Rule 1, Fed.R.Civ.P.). This topic will focus on how you can use the 2015 Rules of Civil Procedure to improve your case management by front-loading your case and using early case management to your advantage. You will receive an overview of the amendments to Federal Rules of Civil Procedure 1, 4, 16, 26, 30, 31, 33, 34, and 37. You will be able to use the emphasis on cooperation to your advantage to move the case forward, gain new insights into the rule of proportionality, and understand your and your client's responsibilities to preserve ESI.
