The current Administration has made immigration a primary focus, which will continue to increase. ICE has increased its investigations and raids, focusing on employers. Oftentimes, employers have little or no time to prepare for an ICE raid or audit. Because this trend will continue, this presentation will help businesses understand the differences between an ICE raid and an ICE audit and describe what employers should or should not do.
The presentation will also guide employers in preparing for the ICE activity. As you will learn, the Form I-9 is a critical component of ICE investigations, and employers may face significant fines based on a non-compliant Form I-9s. The presentation will address the best practices for completing and managing Forms I-9s and assessing associated liability. Additionally, the presentation will provide recommendations on implementing an immigration compliance plan that makes sense.
