Some of the most common causes of delay on construction projects range from poor weather to budget shortages, to poor scheduling. All of these, if not handled properly, could result in serious financial losses claimed by either the owner or the contractor. To solve these disputes, in-depth analysis is undoubtedly necessary. Given that delays are common and that the use of scheduling tools and technology has improved incredibly, one might think that delay analysis would be relatively simple and straightforward - but it's not! Can delay analysis be a valuable tool or is it merely black magic?
