  • Recently retired after a 31-year career with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS); in June 2018 he started a consulting firm Tax Exempt Advisory Services, LLC and serves as the president who is officially recognized by the IRS as an enrolled agent
  • Has significant experience in the navigation of the IRS examination process as a field agent, training, managing and leading other agents and managers who are now responsible for conducting field examinations for the IRS
  • Was the subject matter expert for areas including unrelated business income, colleges and universities, hospitals and ACA IRC 501(r) for the TE/GE Division; also served as a member of the IRS Speakers Bureau between 1990-2018
  • Received the TEGE Head Office Award for creating and implementing a future state initiative project, 2018; received the Marvin C. Gutter Outstanding Public Service Award from the Florida Bar Association, 2017
  • Appointed as trustee and board member for the Coral Springs Community Chest, Inc. the city’s 501(c)(3), November 2018
  • B.S. degree in business studies, State University of New York College of Buffalo; completed studies in accounting to become a CPA candidate, Nova Southeastern University

  • Was a manager in the Tax-Exempt Organizations National Tax Practice located in Ernst & Young’s (EY) Atlanta Office; he joined EY in May, 2005 and retired on June 30, 2015
  • 37 years of Federal service (34 years in the Internal Revenue Service and 3 years in the U. S. Army)
  • During his IRS employment he worked in the Examination Division (now SB/SE) and EP/EO (now TE/GE) as a revenue agent, supervisory revenue agent, senior regional analyst, chief, technical staff, and branch chief (now area manager)
  • Has extensive knowledge and experience with the Service’s compliance programs in the exempt organizations function from both a pre-filing (application/determination) and post-filing (examination) perspective
  • Had significant experience with customer education and outreach activities at the Service in making presentations on EO tax law administration and current issues of importance to outside stakeholders
  • Associate member of the Georgia Society of CPA’s and registered with IRS as an enrolled agent
  • B.B.A. degree with an accounting major, Armstrong State University (now Armstrong Campus – Georgia Southern University)
