While a benefit to debtors, bankruptcy and its machinations can be a minefield for creditors' attorney if they do not have a basic general understanding of bankruptcy and how creditors can protect their rights when a borrower files bankruptcy. This presentation will help attorneys learn the basics of bankruptcy in general as well as what to look for when representing secured creditors. It will also provide some insight and guidance as to how to best protect creditor clients in the bankruptcy arena. Additionally, it will include a discussion on several of the hot topics to come in the bankruptcy arena.
