Wisconsin Construction Lien Law

Under Wisconsin construction lien law, there are exacting requirements that contractors and subcontractors must follow to ensure that a potential lienholder will have a perfected lien that will have preference over other creditors. If these statutory requirements are not followed, contractors and subcontractors may not be able to claim a lien and will be left with only common law actions to recover the value of the work they performed
