He is a partner in Barnes & Thornburg LLP’s Washington, D.C., office and is a member of the firm’s Litigation Department, co-chair of the Data Security and Privacy Practice Group, and a member of the Insurance Recovery and Counseling Group, the Internet & Technology Law Group and the Federal Procurement Practice Group.

Kara Cleary is a partner in the Atlanta office of Barnes & Thornburg LLP, where she is a member of the firm’s Litigation Department.
Ms. Cleary concentrates her practice on insurance coverage litigation on behalf of policyholders in various industries, including consumer products, financial services, construction, technology, forest products and pharmaceuticals. Additionally, she has experience in environmental insurance recovery efforts involving historical coverage. Ms. Cleary also has experience in handling complex commercial lawsuits.

Heidi J.K. Fessler is of counsel in Barnes & Thornburg’s Minneapolis office and a member of the Litigation Department and the eDiscovery, Data and Document Management Practice Group. In addition, Ms. Fessler acts as designated national discovery counsel for a large healthcare organization where she works with the organization, external merits counsel and in-house counsel to create defensible and cost-effective discovery practices.
