Michael O. Kassak is a partner with White and Williams LLP. He has more than 25 years of experience acting as lead counsel in litigating large complex commercial matters including cutting edge insurance coverage disputes. Mike is also Co-Chair of the Intellectual Property Practice Group and a member of the firm's Executive Committee. Mike routinely represents insurers as lead counsel in jurisdictions throughout the country in high profile insurance disputes including cases involving class actions, concussion claims, life science claims, product liability claims, business tort claims, False Claims Act claims, qui tam claims, and intellectual property claims.
Mike has extensive jury trial and appellate experience. He has successfully litigated numerous cases within Pennsylvania and New Jersey and has a national litigation practice having handled cases in Arizona, Kentucky, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maine, West Virginia, California, Iowa, Florida, Massachusetts, South Carolina, New Mexico, and New York. Mike often teaches continuing educational courses for both peers and professionals. During law school, Mike served as the Notes and Comments Editor for the Rutgers Law Journal.
Andrew G. Lipton
White & Williams
Andrew G. Lipton is an associate with White and Williams LLP. He represents foreign and domestic D&O, Cyber and Tech E&O insurers in complex coverage matters. Andrew has particular experience with securities class action and derivative claims, foreign and domestic government investigations, as well as claims arising out of large-scale data breaches and other cyber-related events.
Andrew is an IAPP Certified Information Privacy Professional for the U.S. region (CIPP/US). Andrew uses his knowledge of data privacy laws and security standards to help insurers and their insureds navigate the various coverage and exposure issues that arise out of cybersecurity incidents. At St. John’s University School of Law, Andrew was a senior staff member of the St. John’s Journal of International & Comparative Law, and completed an externship with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York.
