- Area of expertise is broadly in water resources engineering, land use and pollutant loading assessment, storm water management, LID design, gravel wetlands and porous pavements
- Has managed millions of dollars worth of project funds ranging from fundamental research in storm water to design and implementation of innovative storm water practices
- Substantial experience with the implementation of LID storm water management including design, costing, installation, construction oversight and inspection
- Extensive experience working with local, state, and regional agencies, and participates on a national level for USEPA Headquarters, WEF, and the White Council on Environmental Quality on urban retrofit innovations and next generation LID/GI technology and financing solutions
- Former director of the UNHSC from 2004 to 2012
- Participated in many significant and award winning green infrastructure projects
- Lead writer for the project Green Infrastructure for Sustainable Coastal Communities
