The Future Under Fixed Price and Cost-Plus

When our speaker first came into this industry, a major job project consisted of a box records. Then it turned into hundreds of files cabinets and boxes for a job project. Now it’s not uncommon to review millions of email … and it’s going to change again. However it won’t be the lawyers that are going to cause the change, it will be the design side. Thanks to 3-D design. This is coming to the forefront of design in a big way. It is going to make fixed price contracting better and may relieve some of the need for cost-plus contracting because the fixed price contracts will become more predictable and more stable. The design will be in 3-D and the computer will be assisting with the computations. In this video our speaker, Carol A. Sigmond, reviews practical considerations in strategic contract drafting and negotiation.
