It starts at the top.
When it is okay for leadership to behave inappropriately it gives off the impression that it is okay for everyone to act the same way. That’s when a zero tolerance policy quickly turns into total tolerance. Leaders must model the behavior that they expect from their employees and align that behavior with a zero tolerance policy. This video reviews the importance of setting policies in place, training the team to understand the requirements, managing the situations that arise, and monitoring the effectiveness of the preventive policies.
