Sales and Use Tax - Invoicing Pitfalls

This short 6-minute video reviews invoicing pitfalls in regards to shipping and billing issues. Our speaker, accountant John R. Morrow, provides examples of these pitfalls and explains what needs to be done to address these issues correctly. He discusses shipping vs. billing address issues and the importance of understanding FOB transactions and in which state the transaction is taxable. Mr. Morrow also reviews the importance of separating out the shipping and handling charges on invoices, as well as material and labor costs, and which line items are truly taxable.
