Purpose of a Job Cost Report

Many contracts today contain language that allows an owner to audit a contractor’s records. This provides owners with a tool to ‘keep a contractor honest’ when it comes to change orders and claims. A contractor that cannot clearly demonstrate its cost accounting will have problems that will take time to resolve without a good Job Cost Report (JCR). This video will provide a quick review to help those who maintain and use JCRs understand the purpose of a JCR and how these are vital for audits and for managing projects.
