Every once in a while an owner error of irreconcilable conflicting specifications situation comes up. This means that one requirement of the bid documents conflicts with another. This can put owners in a very difficult situation. There are some key issues to consider with these conflicting specification challenges. You should determine whether it is absolutely impossible to meet both requirements; and you should also be prepared to address why this error was not raised pre‐bid.

In this video our speaker, Drew W. Colby, Esq., reviews a few types of owner and contractor errors – irreconcilable conflicting specifications minor clerical mistakes, mathematical mistakes, and mistake of judgment.
