How to Determine Your Staffing Needs

 
As far as resources go, every company uses a designated term for employees who perform the tasks of conducting business. That can include staff, employee, team member, resource, human capital, or talent. Many times managers find themselves wondering where their staff is. They know they have an allocation but they don’t see the staff available. Some managers don’t have a clue as to what their resources are going to be in 3 months, 6 months or let alone in a year. There are times when one just can’t find people who can do the work that needs to be done. There is also the concern that there is no way that the project will get done without additional staff even though upper management thinks it will. A lot of times these statements are made in the wake of a new project. Staffing is a huge cost in a project so it’s important to make sure you have the right people in place at the right time to complete the project.
