Four Prongs to Internet Applicant Definition

Who is a job applicant and how is an applicant defined? An applicant is an individual job seeker who meets four different prongs that make up the definition. First, the individual submits an expression of interest in employment through the Internet or related electronic data technologies. Second, the contractor considers the individual for employment in a particular position. Third, the individual’s expression of interest indicates the individual possesses the basic qualifications for the position. Fourth, the individual at no point in the contractor’s selection process prior to receiving an offer of employment from the contractor, removes himself or herself from further consideration or otherwise indicates that he or she is no longer interested in the position.

In this 23-minute video our speaker, Matthew J. Camardella, describes in further details these four prongs of an applicant under the Internet applicant rule.
