Stay informed on the topic of float ownership and its implications on the administration of a construction project.
Critical Path Method scheduling has long been a key process in managing time on a project. A byproduct of the CPM scheduling process is float, an often-debated topic, particularly who has the right to use or control the float – who owns the float. Contractors and owners understand the vital role of float. The focus of this video is on float ownership and discusses two major aspects of ownership – the ability to influence construction flow and the determination of entitlement to an extension of time and liquidated damages.
