Developing Compensation Policies

 
Developing compensation policies and analyzing implementation costs are an important step in determining pay ranges that are fair and effective. The steps included are to determine employees that are below the minimum of ranges, the employees that are above the maximums of ranges and prepare a compa-ratio analysis. The final implementation cost comes down to determining how much it costs to bring every employee to within their pay range. Another step to consider is internal equity, how do positions compare to each other.
