Delegate with Authority While Empowering Your Employees - The Subject of Trust and the Leader's Perspective

 
Delegation, when implemented correctly, enhances trust among the leader and associates resulting in better communications and performance. Give every level of employee, from mediocre to expert, a chance to improve through a challenge. Balance the delegated task in a way that the associate can use their strengths and build new capabilities. You can delegate more than one task to an employee as long as you avoid overloading him or her. As the leader you need to be self-aware of your comfort with the selected associate that you are going to delegate a task to. What is your history with the associate? Start out with a small task and build from that first task.
