Criminal Tax Evasion - Part Four

 
How many people will the IRS go after due to their limited resources? How aggressive will the IRS be over the next couple of years? While our speaker, Gary S. Wolfe, doesn’t have a crystal ball to predict the future he feels that the IRS’s limited resources will determine everything and chances are their budget is just going to get smaller. The more international activity in this country from investment and trade will also make the IRS busier. As new laws pass more documentation compliance is going to be required. Mr. Wolfe feels that the IRS will make examples out of public figures, politicians, celebrities, etc., and that makes this time a great risk for high-wealth individuals. You need to be very careful going forward because as the stakes get greater, as our Federal deficit approaches $20 trillion, the IRS is going to have to find the money from somewhere.
