There are specific contract issues that are arising due to the “new normal” of COVID-19. Many contracts contain force majeure provisions or provisions concerning “acts of God”. These provisions may be applicable to the current COVID-19 crisis, but the contract provisions tend to be enforced strictly. Moreover, as with all contracts, the court looks to the language of the contract to determine the intent of the parties. This video reviews these issues and offers examples of contract issues.
