• Until 2016, she directed Comprehensive Autism Services and Education, Inc., a clinic for children, teens and adults with high functioning autism and Asperger’s syndrome in Carlsbad, California
• Began a social understanding group titled Friends’ Club™ in 1999
• Spoke of the lessons learned from Friends’ Club™ in addition to teaching ABA to other professionals and parents at the Comprehensive Autism Services and Education conferences from 2002 to present
• Received her certification as a board certified behavior analyst, BCBA-D
• Wrote her first published book, Quirky, Yes - Hopeless, No and won San Diego’s Book Award Association’s Book of the Year in Education, 2009
• Wrote the book, A Different Dream: Families for Transition, for families just receiving the diagnosis of autism, 2009
• Previously the bilingual school psychologist and special education consultant for many San Diego school districts, including Valley Center, Carlsbad, San Marcos and Vista, California
• Won the Community Advisory Committee’s Award for Supporting Students with Special Needs, 1996
• Ph.D. degree in education, The University of Santa Barbara
