Take a deeper dive into change orders.
Change orders can be a large ongoing issue on construction projects. Notice and written requirements, waiver and release of claims, and pricing of those items all play a part in change orders. Contractual provisions containing written change order requirements are binding upon the parties to the contract. Change orders are often accompanied by a standard printed waiver which releases all claims for damages arising under the conditions expressed in the change order. Prices specified in change orders must be reasonable. This video takes a closer look at these issues and how to work through a change order.
