What exactly is first-party property insurance?
First-party insurance insures the policyholder from loss or damage associated with the policyholder’s own property. Typical provisions could include direct physical loss or damage and the damage must be done to the described property that is listed on a schedule included in the policy. Unfortunately the law is far from uniform and there is not a lot of consistency and carrying results are common.
