Increase employee productivity by decreasing absenteeism.
Learn strategies for keeping your employees at work. This topic will discuss practical skills employers need to identify and combat chronic absenteeism. Chronic absenteeism is when an employee (either intentionally or unintentionally) is habitually absent from work. Chronic absenteeism creates many workplace problems for employers in the form of decreased productivity, decreased moral among co-workers, and decreased financial performance. Discuss attendance and leave policies and laws (including the ADA and FMLA), how to identify patterns of abuse, enforcement strategies, discipline and termination, trends, and pitfalls. Strategies to help employers identify the reasons for chronic absenteeism and recommend best practices to reduce such absenteeism will also be discussed.
