We have identified the areas of wage and hour pitfalls; prevailing wage challenges; diversity and inclusion and hiring do’s and don’ts as areas for review and we will describe some of the problems that can result from failing to manage these areas properly. After attending this slide deck, attendees will be able to recognize some of these problems in advance and give these areas appropriate attention in a timely fashion. Proper manage of these areas could make the difference between a project being profitable or unprofitable for contractors, subcontractors, and their insurers. Design professionals, who frequently find themselves caught in the middle of disputes between contractors, subcontractors and owners, can benefit from being able to recognize some of the common problems with government funded projects.
