Effectively Supporting Employees with Disabilities

Become familiar with the disability mindset, the visibility of a condition and its significant impact, and overall barriers to accessibility.

What are the benefits and challenges unique to supporting your employees with disabilities? Employees with disabilities can lead to complex interpersonal social dynamics, workflow variations, inclusivity challenges, and workplace accommodations. Discussions for this program includes an assessment of the ADA (law versus practical application), and how to interpret this to create an accessible workplace. Participants will become familiar with the disability mindset, the visibility of a condition and its significant impact, and overall barriers to accessibility. Participants will come away from this discussion with a clear understanding of the types of job accommodation and modifications, as well as best practices for implementing these to ensure successful outcomes for all stakeholders.
