Clinical Laboratory Reporting

Understand how PAMA impacts the clinical laboratory industry and the repercussions of failing to comply with the law and its regulations.

Since 1984, Medicare has reimbursed for clinical diagnostic tests based upon an established fee schedule pursuant to the Social Security Act. The passage of the Protecting Access to Medicare Act of 2014, or 'PAMA', mandated extensive revisions to Medicare payment, coding and coverage requirements for such clinical laboratories and the testing they perform. Additionally, PAMA requires separate reporting requirements for designated clinical laboratories that were implemented over several years. This presentation will provide those who are responsible for billing, oversight and compliance for clinical diagnostic laboratories a platform on how PAMA impacts the clinical laboratory industry and the repercussions of failing to comply with the law and its regulations. The live webinar also identifies data collection and reporting requirements, data integrity rules and mandates data certification and confidentiality of the underlying information. This webinar is critical for clinical diagnostic laboratories to ensure these payment systems are met when seeking reimbursement.
