This workshop is critical for employers so they can ensure that they have established processes and systems to accurately complete these new ACA reporting requirements each year.
Many employers have struggled to understand the IRS’s ACA reporting requirements that first became effective with respect to the 2015 calendar year. The new IRS Forms 1094 and 1095 that must be used to complete annual ACA reporting each year are complicated and not intuitive. For employers subject to the ACA employer mandate, not understanding how to successfully conduct ACA reporting exposes the employer to the risk of the IRS assessing a non-tax deductible employer shared responsibility payment against them. This information will help persons responsible for ACA reporting administration and compliance understand the reporting requirements applicable to employers with self-insured medical plans and large employers who must offer coverage to full-time employees or risk paying a penalty. This information will provide employers tools to help them ensure that they understand the details necessary to complete ACA reporting in compliance with applicable requirements. Learn how ACA reporting is done on an entity-by-entity basis for entities within a controlled group of companies, must be completed in some cases with respect to former employees in addition to active employees and requires the collection of covered dependents’ social security numbers. Leave with the information they need to analyze unique employment and offer of coverage situations to verify that IRS Forms 1094 and 1095 are being completed accurately.
