Updates and Trends on Colorado Landlord and Tenant Law

 
The statute requires a landlord to permit a tenant to install certain types of vehicle charging station for hybrid/electric vehicles. The statute only applies to residential tenants, not commercial tenants. A tenant may install one for his/her own use without restriction, except that the landlord may require tenant pay for or reimburse increased electrical costs. The landlord may also install it at the request of the tenant and charge the tenant for such cost. The landlord may also charge a parking fee if the unit is installed in parking area accessible to others.
