IP is everywhere. Good ideas for products or sometimes services that are the subject of your client’s contracts are often valuable. But they need to be patented, copyrighted, trademarked, or kept secret to be protected. Your client is asked to develop a product or system for a customer, eating the cost because it plans to sell more. The customer loves it and so sends your product off to China to be copied so it can sell a lower priced product. Inquire and add value. Perhaps it was patentable.
