John is a Partner in the New York City office of Akerman LLP. John advises public and private companies on real estate acquisitions, facilities management, construction and development, commercial leasing, developable ground and master leasing, commercial property management, and litigation. John has national experience in developable land, improved property acquisitions and ground leasing, large scale retail and office developments, and leasing and management programs. John directed the legal team in a national portfolio acquisition program with a value in excess of $2 billion and participated in the development, leasing, and financing of over 4 million square feet of regional shopping malls and retail centers nationwide. John was noted in the New York Times as structuring and closing one of the largest leases of its kind in New York City of 2 million square feet. John is the senior author of the two volume National Commercial Leasing Treatise - Negotiating and Drafting Office Leases which is published by the American Law Journal Press and supplemented twice a year.
