Dr. Cynthia Norall opened Comprehensive Autism Services and Education, Inc., a clinic for children, teens and adults with high functioning autism and Asperger’s syndrome in Carlsbad, California, in 1999.She began a social understanding group titled Friends’ Club™, also in 1999. She regularly speaks of the lessons learned from, Friends’ Club™ in addition to teaching ABA to other professionals and parents at the Comprehensive Autism Services and Education conferences from 2002 to present.
Cynthia received her certification as a board certified behavior analyst, BCBA-D. She wrote her first published book, Quirky, Yes - Hopeless, No and won San Diego’s Book Award Association’s Book of the Year in Education, 2009. She also wrote the book, A Different Dream: Families for Transition, for families just receiving the diagnosis of autism, 2009.
Her previous experience includes being the bilingual school psychologist and special education consultant for many San Diego school districts, including Valley Center, Carlsbad, San Marcos and Vista, California. Cynthia won the Community Advisory Committee’s Award for Supporting Students with Special Needs, 1996.
