Chris Dorn is an Analyst and co-founder of Safe Havens International. He has over 15 years of experience in evaluating, training and consulting in school safety and security. Chris is a regular keynote presenter at state, national and international conferences in over 30 states. He has written several books and numerous articles in trade publications and journals in school safety and emergency management, including the new book “Staying Alive: How to Act Fast and Survive Deadly Encounters” currently in press with Barron’s Education Series (release date: May 15th 2014) .
Chris has a dual B.S. degree in international affairs and modern languages, Sam Nunn School of International Affairs of the Ivan Allen College at Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech), certificate of marketing, Scheller College of Business at Georgia Tech, as well as course certifications from FEMA and other government and trade organizations.
