Barb Schreiner, Ph.D, RN, CPLP, CDE, BC-ADM is the current director of research: review and testing, Elsevier as well as the current adjunct professor, graduate nursing programs, Capella University. Barb is a certified diabetes educator, board certified advanced diabetes management and a certified professional in learning and performance.
Barb has a 35-year history of teaching in clinical, academic and industry environments and has provided diabetes care and education to children and adults in a variety of settings, including summer camps (and cruise ships). She has also been involved with more than 40 research projects, including serving as a co-investigator on the NIH-NIDDK study to prevent and manage type 2 diabetes in children and has more than 70 publications (peer-reviewed, book chapters, and abstracts) and has coordinated and/or presented more than 400 continuing education programs (local, regional, and national).
