Architects in New Mexico are licensed by The New Mexico Board of Examiners for Architects and must renew their license every two years. In addition, architects may be required to take New Mexico AIA courses to fulfill their AIA membership renewal obligations. For licensing, architects must take 12 hours of continuing education every year. They must maintain records of their education for at least three years.
