Knowing Your CPE Requirements
Maryland CPE requirements are set by the Maryland Board of Public Accountancy, based on standards published jointly by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (nasba-group-internet-based). Licensed CPAs in the state must complete 80 credit hours of CPE every two-year renewal period. These must include 4.0 hours of professional ethics training.
Credit can be earned through participation in live webinars and NASBA approved QAS self-study. Maryland is also one of the few states that allows unlimited carryover for any CPE credit completed beyond the required 80 in a given reporting period.
