The unique architectural requirements of an island state such as Hawaii demand that professionals undergo regular training to keep their skills current. Continuing professional education is a requirement to practice architecture in most parts of the country. In Hawaii, however, where the effects of climate change will be strongly felt in years to come, architects will need special training to properly build the infrastructure of the future.
Lorman Education Services has been helping professionals upgrade their skills and meet their licensing requirements since 1987. We are a leading provider of AIA-approved courses in Hawaii, thanks to our innovative distance learning programs. With our extensive archive of training programs and OnDemand content, architects in the Aloha State never have to travel or take extended time away from their practice to upgrade their skills.

AIA training in Hawaii is overseen by the state Board of Professional Engineers, Architects, Surveyors and Landscape Architects. In order to keep their licensing current, all professionals must complete 16 credit hours of approved training every two years. These courses must be in a subject related to the AIA's broad definition of health, safety and welfare as it relates to the built environment. For more information, visit individual course pages or, better yet, get in touch with our customer response team directly. We'd be happy to answer any of your questions about earning Hawaii AIA credits online through our programs.
