New Jersey CPE Requirements
CPE requirements for New Jersey are determined by the state board of accountancy. 120 credits are required every three-year reporting period. A minimum of 20 credit hours must be earned each calendar year — a requirement that makes training an ongoing process rather than something that can be put off to the last minute. 60 credits should be in a technical subject, and of those, at least 24 must be in Auditing, Review and Compilation if engaged in the practice of public accountancy or involved in the attest function. In addition, 4.0 credits must be in New Jersey law and ethics.
